Samsung launches Galaxy Z Flip8

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip8

Samsung Electronics has introduced the Galaxy Z Flip8, the latest addition to its foldable smartphone lineup, featuring a larger cover display, updated camera system, and expanded artificial intelligence capabilities. The phone joins the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra and Galaxy Z Fold8 in the company’s newest Galaxy Z series.

The Galaxy Z Flip8 weighs 180 grams and measures 6.1 mm when unfolded, making it Samsung’s thinnest Flip smartphone to date. It features a 6.9-inch main display and a 4.1-inch Super AMOLED FlexWindow cover screen that provides access to applications, notifications, and AI-powered functions without opening the device. Samsung said the cover display supports quick access to information and voice-activated tasks through Gemini Intelligence.

The smartphone is equipped with a 50-megapixel main camera and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera. Samsung said camera features include Flex Mode for hands-free photography, Camcorder Grip with Zoom Rocker, Super Steady video stabilization with Horizontal Lock, and FlipShot for customized mirror selfies using the FlexWindow display. The camera system is supported by Samsung’s ProVisual Engine for portrait and general photography.

The Galaxy Z Flip8 also includes Galaxy AI features such as Now Brief, Now Nudge, Gemini Notebook, and AI-assisted workflows designed to organize information and automate selected tasks. Samsung said these functions work alongside security technologies including Samsung Knox, Personal Data Engine, Knox Vault, and additional privacy controls intended to manage AI-generated activities and protect user information.

The Galaxy Z Flip8 is available for pre-order in the Philippines beginning July 22 in Graphite, Cream, and Pink. A Mint color option is available exclusively through Samsung’s online store.
