Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. introduced the Galaxy Z Flip7 today, a compact foldable smartphone that combines a larger edge-to-edge cover display with enhanced AI features. The device aims to deliver more functionality in a pocket-friendly form, making it easier to stay connected, capture photos, and multitask.

The Galaxy Z Flip7 features Samsung’s largest FlexWindow yet, spanning 4.1 inches across the front. It allows users to send quick messages, check schedules, and take selfies without opening the device. The display reaches up to 2,600 nits of brightness and supports a smooth 120Hz refresh rate for clear visibility outdoors.

The Galaxy Z Flip7 introduces a more useful, one-handed experience with its improved cover screen and smarter Galaxy AI.

Weighing just 188 grams and folding down to 13.7mm, the Flip7 is slimmer than earlier versions but comes with the largest battery yet in the series, offering up to 31 hours of video playback. Durability is improved with a redesigned hinge, Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on the cover and back, and an Armor Aluminum frame.

The main display is a 6.9-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel. Inside, the Flip7 is powered by Samsung’s latest 3nm processor, with upgraded CPU, GPU, and NPU for improved performance. For the first time in the Flip series, Samsung DeX is supported, enabling PC-like functionality when connected to a monitor.

Samsung highlighted that the improved AI on the Flip7 allows users to search, get answers, and take actions directly from the cover screen, adding convenience to everyday tasks. The FlexWindow now adjusts its clock display dynamically around wallpaper images, keeping time visible without obscuring the background photo.

The upgraded camera system offers improved night photography, 10-bit HDR for richer video colors, and software enhancements that deliver clear, detailed shots in various lighting conditions.

Both devices continue Samsung’s effort to bring foldable smartphones to more users, offering a mix of portability, durability, and smart features in a familiar clamshell form.

Both models are available for pre-order starting July 9, with sales opening on Aug. 1. The Flip7 comes in Blue Shadow, Jetblack, Coralred, and an online-exclusive Mint. The Flip7 FE comes in Black and an online-exclusive White.
