Schneider Electric, an energy management and automation company, has inaugurated its upgraded Cavite Smart Distribution Center, marking a significant development in smart logistics in the Philippines.

With an investment of P86.5 million (1.4 million Euros), the facility incorporates advanced technologies from the Fourth Industrial Revolution, supporting regional and global growth driven by the energy transition and digitalization.

The center, spanning 19,600 square meters within the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) in Cavite, manages the export and distribution of Schneider Electric’s Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) 3 Phase equipment. These products are vital for ensuring continuous power supply to critical markets such as data centers, where uninterrupted operations are crucial.

The enhanced Cavite facility is now a key hub in Schneider Electric’s distribution network, covering Asia Pacific, North America, Europe, and South America. Equipped with sophisticated technologies, the center aims to streamline operations, improve efficiency, and significantly reduce energy consumption, setting a new standard in sustainable logistics.

“We are committed and passionate about our customers, which is why we have made this investment in our Cavite distribution center,” said Ireen Catane, country president of Schneider Electric Philippines.

Catane highlighted the importance of Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies in driving sustainability and operational efficiency, noting the facility’s connection to Schneider Electric’s Smart Factory and Smart Distribution Network.

Schneider Electric EcoStruxure

The distribution center leverages Schneider Electric EcoStruxure solutions to enhance sustainability and efficiency. Power Metering Expert monitors and optimizes energy use, resulting in a 14% increase in production growth and 13% in energy savings. Additionally, up to 80% of finished goods are transported by a fleet of electric vehicles.

This initiative is part of Schneider Electric’s Impact Supply Chain program, aimed at fostering innovation, sustainability, and high performance within its supply chain, while empowering its workforce to drive positive change.
