Shell Pilipinas Corp. is helping small and medium enterprises (SMEs) improve fuel and fleet operations through the Shell Fleet App, a mobile platform that offers real-time tracking, automated payments, and paperless account management.
Launched in 2022, the Shell Fleet App allows businesses to manage their Shell Fleet Card, monitor fuel expenses, oversee driver activity, and access reports all in one place. It aims to reduce administrative tasks while helping business owners stay on top of their daily operations.
“We designed the app to empower SME owners to manage their fleets anytime, anywhere,” said Deepti Behl, global head of SMEs GM of Digital Products & Marketing at Shell Fleet Solutions. “It reduces admin work, offers peace of mind, and enables entrepreneurs to focus on growth.”
The app condenses the usual fleet card application process to just five minutes, according to Shell, and has led to a tenfold increase in SME users since its rollout. With SMEs making up 99.5% of registered businesses in the country, Shell said the app is intended to address a real need for easy-to-use, digital business tools.
Business owners from industries such as transport, retail, and construction have reported improvements in expense tracking, faster driver coordination, and better fuel management since using the app. Some also cited its usefulness in easing cash flow pressure through discounts on Shell lubricants.
Shell said it continues to update the app based on user feedback. The app is available for free download on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
