To boost efforts against scammers and enhance accessibility to government services, PLDT’s wireless subsidiary, Smart Communications Inc. (Smart), teamed up with the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) to integrate the eGov PH app (eGOV) into its SIM Registration process.
The eGOV platform serves as a centralized hub for a multitude of government services, spanning both local and national agencies. By integrating this system into Smart’s SIM Registration platform, the collaboration aims to escalate the fight against fraudulent activities, offering added protection to subscribers.
“Our collaboration with the DICT for eGOV is part of the PLDT Group’s support for the government’s overall digitalization thrust, to make government services accessible to more Filipinos across the country,” said Jojo Gendrano, SVP and Head of Enterprise Business Group, PLDT and Smart.
