Smart Communications Inc. (Smart), the wireless subsidiary of PLDT, and PLDT Enterprise, the corporate division of PLDT, have teamed up with Ericsson, a telecommunications and networking services provider, to enhance the manufacturing sector in the Philippines through Mobile Private Networks (MPN).
This partnership will harness Ericsson’s expertise in private 5G networks, providing manufacturers with tailored solutions that support connected machinery and advanced automation. By adopting MPN, companies can improve production processes, minimize downtime, and streamline operations, offering real-time data exchange and greater control over manufacturing systems.

Smart and PLDT will leverage PLDT Innolab, their innovation lab, to showcase MPN solutions to clients. Demonstrations will focus on areas like predictive maintenance, remote monitoring, and smart factory automation. These activities aim to address industry challenges and highlight how MPN can enhance productivity and efficiency.
