SoftwareOne and Crayon have combined their Asia-Pacific (APAC) channel businesses under the SoftwareOne brand, giving technology resellers access to more cloud, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence (AI) specialists to support customer projects.
SoftwareOne, a global provider of software and cloud solutions, said the integration brings together technical teams, vendor relationships, and services from both companies. Partners can draw on these resources for projects that require skills they do not have within their own teams.
“For us, the measure of success is not simply the scale of the combined business. It is whether we can create more services opportunities for our partners, help them respond to their customers and support them as they grow. That is what this combination is ultimately about,” said Varun Paliwal, president of APAC, SoftwareOne.
The combined business provides access to solution architects, who help design technology systems, along with security specialists and experts in cloud, AI, and productivity tools. Partners can also get help preparing bids and developing new services.
SoftwareOne said customers increasingly need support across several connected areas, including software, cloud, cybersecurity, data, and AI. Meeting those needs can require expertise beyond what an individual reseller currently offers.
Under its services model, partners can deliver SoftwareOne services using their own brand or work with the company on larger projects. Partners retain ownership of their customer relationships while SoftwareOne supplies additional technical and delivery support.
The integration also gives partners access to Cloud-iQ, SoftwareOne’s platform for managing cloud and software subscriptions. Its features include subscription management, automated billing, usage information, and business insights to help partners manage these services.
SoftwareOne contributes its software, cloud, and IT portfolio management capabilities, together with advisory, managed, and implementation services. Crayon adds its channel relationships and experience in cloud, software, data, and AI across APAC.
Partners can also use SoftwareOne’s Partner Connections program, which links resellers with specialist delivery partners for projects requiring several types of expertise. Its ISV Innovation Hub helps partners bring their own software products to market through vendor marketplaces, incentives, and development support.
Support will also include certifications, guidance on vendor programs, market information, and help building new service offerings. Local teams will continue working with partners across markets with different customer needs and regulatory requirements.
