St. Luke’s Medical Center in the Philippines has launched the Sunrise electronic health record (EHR) platform by Altera Digital Health, moving from paper-based records to a digital healthcare system.
The transition affects both St. Luke’s locations in Quezon City and Bonifacio Global City, aiming to enhance patient care through improved digital record management.
Sunrise EHR is designed to centralize health records, allowing clinicians to view comprehensive patient histories and collaborate more effectively. This technology supports the hospital’s patient-centered approach by streamlining processes, eliminating repetitive administrative tasks, and enabling doctors to focus more on patient care. By digitizing data, St. Luke’s aims to improve efficiency, allowing doctors to access patient information quickly, securely, and in one unified system.
“At St. Luke’s Medical Center, we are enhancing patient care through the adoption of Altera’s Sunrise EHR platform,” said Dr. Dennis Serrano, president and CEO of St. Luke’s Medical Center. This advanced technology enables our clinicians to collaborate more efficiently, streamline processes, and maintain a strong focus on patient-centered care, all while securely managing health records.”
Sunrise’s clinical decision support features help guide medication decisions, assisting clinicians with dosage checks and drug interactions. This function is expected to help prevent errors and support patient outcomes by providing essential information during treatment.
“Our Sunrise EHR platform is designed with flexibility in mind, and we believe it will equip St. Luke’s Medical Center with the tools to optimize their digital processes to support their patient and clinician needs,” said Todd Haebich of Altera Digital Health.
