The Alias microphones are equipped with a custom 1″ condenser capsule, three times larger than standard microphone capsules, capturing gamers’ voices with exceptional clarity. The finely tuned cardioid capsule pattern minimizes background noise, providing the ideal solution for streaming. A custom-built shock mount absorbs vibrations, allowing gamers to be animated during their streams. The result is a sleek and purpose-built microphone chassis designed with gamers in mind.

To power the Alias microphones, SteelSeries developed Sonar for Streamers, a high-performance software suite that offers all-in-one sound studio capabilities. It includes a 10-band Parametric EQ with broadcast presets, audio routing, ClearCast AI noise cancellation, and pro-level mixing tools like the Compressor and Limiter. Sonar is compatible with standard video broadcasting software, using CPU processing to avoid frame rate drops.
