Stratpoint Technologies, a digital solutions company, has partnered with Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (Tesda) and Joysis TVI to equip aspiring tech professionals with in-demand skills through the Tesda Supervised Industry Learning (SIL) program.
Stratpoint is offering a free 120-hour Java capstone training program from Jan. 6 to 24, 2025, designed to prepare trainees for careers in software development. Participants, enrolled through Joysis TVI, a Tesda-accredited technical vocational institution, will gain hands-on experience developing a Java-based e-wallet application.
“This project simulates a real-world development scenario with practical components like API integration and database operations,” said Zayd Tolentino, CTO of Stratpoint. “We’ve customized the project requirements to match the competencies outlined in the Java NCIII curriculum.”
The program includes structured mentorship, teamwork, and weekly feedback sessions, providing a comprehensive understanding of software development. Students will showcase their work during a Demo Day and receive job placement assistance upon completion.
“With proper mentorship and support, we aim to prepare students for the workforce and inspire them to excel in their careers,” said Nicky Balderosa, manager of Learning and Development, Stratpoint.
