Synology has launched ActiveProtect in the Philippines, a data protection solution that integrates backup software, a server, and a backup repository into one system. The solution is designed to help businesses secure their data while simplifying management.
“Data protection should empower businesses, not be a burden,” said Jia-Yu Liu, executive vice president at Synology. “ActiveProtect embodies Synology’s expertise in hardware and software engineering and insights from close collaboration with customers. We are confident that ActiveProtect will exceed enterprises’ expectations for data protection.”
The demand for cybersecurity solutions has grown as more businesses in the Philippines undergo digital transformation. In 2024, over 80% of organizations in the country reported experiencing at least three cybersecurity incidents, such as phishing, data leaks, and distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks. Also, 32% of organizations lack the ability to detect such threats, highlighting the need for stronger security measures.
“The demand for a scalable, secure, and user-friendly data protection solution has never been greater, and ActiveProtect is positioned to meet that need in the Philippines. We look forward to seeing how it empowers enterprises to secure their most valuable assets with greater ease,” said Thachawan Chinchanakarn, regional sales manager at Synology.
ActiveProtect offers key features such as a unified backup and recovery system, support for various workloads, and a scalable management console. The solution also includes advanced protection features like immutable backups and air-gap capabilities to help businesses meet security regulations.
Synology’s ActiveProtect is available through its distributors and partners in the Philippines. Businesses interested in the solution can visit Synology’s website to learn more or request a demo.
