TaskUs, a provider of outsourced digital services and customer experience solutions, has opened a new site called Hiraya in Las Piñas City to expand its presence in the Philippines and meet the growing demand for digital support services.

Hiraya is designed to be a multilingual operations center that provides services such as customer service, sales, technical support, non-voice operations, and content moderation. The site currently has 700 employees and is expected to reach 1,500 by the end of 2025.

“One of the key decision criteria in choosing Las Piñas City as the location for our new site was our ‘People-First’ ethos,” said Dean Van Ormer, SVP for Southeast Asia at TaskUs. “Eighty percent of our Alabang-area teammates reside in the city or its immediate vicinity, and with access to major thoroughfares, proximity to Metro Manila, and the upcoming LRT-1 extension line, this site will eliminate lengthy commute times.”

Van Ormer added that with 14 colleges and universities nearby, the investment will create more job opportunities for a well-educated local workforce.

The name “Hiraya” comes from a Filipino word meaning the fulfillment of hopes and dreams. “True to its name, Hiraya is the manifestation of our vision of a workspace where our teammates are not only excited to come every day but can also build their careers,” said Al Sese, VP of Operations at TaskUs. “Hiraya is our first site with a Filipino theme, combining traditional design elements with modern facilities, including a day care center, dedicated rooms for new mothers, 24/7 clinic access, wellness and resiliency rooms, a gym, and a cafeteria.”

TaskUs is marking its 17th anniversary this year. The company started in a small office in Cavite in 2008 and now employs more than 35,000 people across 11 sites in the Philippines. It has been certified as a Great Place to Work in the country for three consecutive years and holds a Platinum Reaccreditation from Investors in People (IIP).
