TCL Philippines has introduced two gaming monitors with features designed to reduce blurred movement: the 25-inch TCL 25P1AD and the 27-inch TCL 27P2A Mini LED monitor.
TCL Philippines, which describes itself as the country’s No. 1 Panel TV brand and a global leader in home electronics, is expanding its monitor lineup after entering the Philippine market. The models offer options for gaming, content creation, and work.
“Our newest TCL gaming monitors reflect decades of innovation in display technology. By combining CSOT’s world-class panel engineering with TCL’s continuous breakthroughs in gaming performance, we are delivering displays purpose-built for how modern gamers and creators interact with their screens today,” said Maxi Chen, TCL Senior Product Manager of Browneline.
The 25P1AD has a native 280Hz refresh rate, meaning its screen updates 280 times per second. Users can increase this to 300Hz through the monitor menu. Faster updates can make movement appear smoother in games where players need to follow action.
TCL lists a 0.5-millisecond moving picture response time, a measure related to motion clarity. The monitor supports HDR and has a peak brightness of 400 nits.
The larger 27P2A has QHD resolution, or 2560 x 1440 pixels, and a 200Hz refresh rate. Its Mini LED backlight uses LEDs to light the screen, supporting stronger contrast and brighter highlights. Peak brightness reaches 600 nits.
It covers 99% of the sRGB color range and has a one-millisecond gray-to-gray response time, which measures how quickly pixels change shades.
Both models support AMD FreeSync Premium and NVIDIA G-Sync to help reduce screen tearing, where parts of different frames appear together. They also use CSOT’s HFS, an IPS-type panel technology designed for consistent colors when viewed from different angles.
