TCL Electronics marked its 25th anniversary in the Philippines with a celebration at Okada Manila, highlighting its growing presence in local households and the launch of its upcoming 2025 product lineup. The event, themed “Legendary Moment, Timeless Greatness,” also served as a platform to present its continued plans to improve everyday life through accessible and thoughtful innovations.

Recognized as the new Triple Global Top 1 TV Brand in Mini-LED, Google TV, and Ultra-Large Screen TVs (85 inches and above) by OMDIA 2024, TCL celebrated how its technology has become part of Filipino daily living — from immersive TV experiences to smart air conditioners, washing machines, and refrigerators.

“In the past, TCL has achieved remarkable results in the Philippine market. Our TV and AC sales both hold the No. 1 market share in sales volume and have become trusted brands among consumers,” said Griffin Zhang, general manager of the Asia Pacific Business Group, TCL Industries. “Looking ahead, TCL will continue to uphold the principle of ‘Technology Creates A Better Life,’ constantly innovate and improve product quality and service levels.”

New product lineup for 2025

“For us, innovation is to go beyond our limits and develop cutting-edge, sustainable technologies,” said Peter Chen, CEO, TCL Philippines. “For us, being fashionable is to create a diverse sensory experience through the combination of technology and art.”

The brand introduced several new products at the event, starting with the upcoming X11K QD-MiniLED TV, which was revealed by Charlie Huang, deputy product director for Brownline. Bert Cheung, deputy product director for air conditioners, presented the TCL FreshIN 3.0 Air Conditioners, while Eric Li, senior product manager for washing machines and refrigerators, shared details on the TCL Super Drum Combo+ C682 Front Load Washer and Dryer, and the AAT Inverter+ C436BMSB bottom-mounted refrigerator.

These new products aim to offer more comfort, efficiency, and ease in Filipino homes.

A global Olympic partnership

Another key moment of the evening was the announcement of TCL’s global partnership with the International Olympic Committee, which runs through 2032. The partnership focuses on enhancing the Olympic experience through TCL’s technologies in the Olympic Village and among global audiences.

“Being a worldwide Olympic partner is more than just a badge of honor — it’s a declaration,” said Shae Yu, deputy director of Marketing of TCL Philippines. “This partnership allows us to bring the spirit of the Games directly into people’s lives. It’s not just about gadgets — it’s about experiences.”

Filipino pole vaulter EJ Obiena, who is ranked fourth in the world and holds the Asian record, joined the celebration as a guest of honor. Obiena said he sees the connection between athletes and technology brands like TCL.

More innovations in the future

“I think the partnership is great — it’s about chasing greatness, constant improvement, and perfection,” he said. “Just as TCL constantly innovates to enhance our lives through their products, we athletes approach training with the same mindset.”

Actress Rhian Ramos and TV personality Valeen Montenegro also joined the event as the newest TCL brand partners. Both expressed excitement about using the latest technology from TCL in their daily lives.

Cyd Montebon, TCL Philippines deputy director of sales, and Wesley Yang, deputy director of retail, led the evening’s toast to celebrate the company’s milestone.

“To our cherished partners, our forward-thinking visionaries, and to all who have walked this incredible path with us—thank you. Thank you for your faith and support and for being part of this historic occasion,” said Montebon.

“TCL is a promise to innovate, connect, and redefine,” said Yang. “And after tonight, it’s evident that the best is yet to come.”

With its sights set on the future, TCL reaffirms its commitment to bringing more thoughtful and smart innovations into Filipino homes.
