TikTok, a short-form mobile video platform, in collaboration with mobile services provider Smart Communications Inc. (Smart), Smart Omega, and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB), has announced the 10 finalists competing in “The Greatest Gamer Philippines.” 

Among the individuals vying for the ‘The Greatest Gamer’ title are Alvin “Alvin” Recto, Dan Levi “Levi” Cuevas, Dave “Dave” Balaaldia, Ezequiel “Ezequiel” Cauilan, Jan Paolo “Paolo” Abanes, Jhon Michelvin “Kelvin” Verango, John Yoshi “JY” Magbag, Joshua “Batosai” Camba, Ron Marcus “Roma” Manalang, and Ronald James “Rwizzz” Cabugoy.

Selected from almost 6,000 gamers who auditioned across the country, these 10 competitors will get a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to prove their skills and determination on TikTok to become the next professional Esports gamer.

The Next Pinoy Greatest Gamer

These 10 contestants will participate in a three-week tournament in a villa, where they will compete in various real-world and gaming challenges that will test their strategic thinking, teamwork, and adaptability, qualities necessary to become a professional Esports player. These will range from live streams of mini-games to weekly tournament gameplays and online and offline entertaining tasks.

TikTok will provide viewers and esports fans with an open window into what the contestants will go through during “The Greatest Gamer Philippines.” Viewers can witness firsthand the highs, lows, and dedication of the 10 aspiring professional esports players through behind-the-scenes videos, weekly tournaments, and content that feature the participants’ backstories.

A chance to be part of Smart Omega Team

The contestants will also receive coaching and feedback from Smart Omega players and coaches to help them improve their skills and techniques in MLBB. At the end of The Greatest Gamer Philippines competition, the winner will be awarded a grand prize and an opportunity to join the Smart Omega team’s MLBB roster.
