PLDT wireless unit Smart Communications Inc. (Smart) has teamed up again with Eplayment Entertainment for the seventh season of Liga Adarna, an all-female esports league.
With the theme, “Ang Bagong Lipad,” the upcoming season of Liga Adarna, scheduled to kick off on July 9, aims to highlight the exceptional skills and gameplays of Filipina gamers. The seventh season will cover six esports titles, including “Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB)”, “Call of Duty Mobile,” “League of Legends: WildRift,” “PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) Mobile,” and the latest addition, “Valorant.”
This upcoming season, the Smart Omega Empress team is set to defend their crown as the back-to-back MLBB champions of Liga Adarna Season 4 and 5.

Promoting inclusivity
Smart and Eplayment are also set to host two events later this year: a charity MLBB Tournament and Esports Awards, which will serve as the culminating event for Liga Adarna Season 7.
The latest season of Liga Adarna is in line with Smart’s long-standing support for Philippine esports to cultivate the passion, skill, and talent of local gamers.
This partnership, which began in 2019, also highlights the ongoing efforts to promote inclusivity and inspire aspiration, particularly among the increasing number of Filipina gamers throughout the country.
