Overseas Filipinos in Singapore and the United Arab Emirates now have a faster way to send money to the Philippines, as telecommunications firm PLDT Global Corp. (PLDT Global) expands Tindahan ni Bossing (TinBo) with its ePadala service.
The new feature allows OFWs to send digital cash-in vouchers directly to their families’ bank accounts or e-wallets in the Philippines using the TinBo app or website. The service runs 24/7 and charges an affordable transaction fee, giving users a quicker option compared to lining up at remittance centers.
ePadala is designed for Filipinos working long hours who need a more convenient way to send support for daily expenses, tuition, healthcare, and emergencies. Instead of visiting physical outlets, users can complete transactions in just a few taps.
The rollout focuses on Singapore and the UAE, two countries with large Filipino communities and high demand for remittance services. With more OFWs adopting digital tools, PLDT Global is positioning ePadala as a secure and accessible option for cross-border money transfers.
Funds sent through ePadala can be redeemed via more than 20 banks and e-wallet platforms in the Philippines, allowing recipients to access money through services they already use.
“As we roll out ePadala in Singapore and the UAE, we are strengthening our commitment to financial inclusion and digital empowerment for overseas Filipinos,” said Albert Villa-Real, president and CEO of PLDT Global, the international unit of PLDT Inc. “This is especially important for Filipinos affected by the conflict in the UAE, because it allows them to transact securely online. TinBo’s ePadala service makes sending support more accessible.”
