Electronics company Samsung has partnered with telecommunications firm PLDT Global to make its televisions and sound devices available on Tindahan ni Bossing (TinBo), PLDT’s digital marketplace for overseas Filipino workers (OFWs).
The collaboration aims to give OFWs and their families easier access to Samsung products through the one-stop platform. TinBo allows Filipinos working abroad to support their loved ones by paying bills, subscribing to online entertainment services, and purchasing appliances and electronics.
“With the partnership of PLDT Global and Samsung Electronics Philippines, we are very happy that we can extend our exclusive and amazing offers at Samsung, specifically on the TV and sound device categories,” said Chris Almazan, head of AV at Samsung Electronics Philippines Corp.
Samsung products will be offered at discounted rates on the platform. The company said the initiative is part of its effort to provide affordable access to its devices while helping OFWs stay connected to their families in the Philippines.
“These partnerships are about creating meaningful connections that keep Filipinos abroad closer to home, to their families, and to the opportunities that matter the most,” said Albert Villa-Real, CEO of PLDT Global.
The partnership also aims to strengthen the role of technology in maintaining ties between OFWs and their loved ones, while supporting their needs as they continue to work overseas.
