Union Bank of the Philippines (UnionBank) has partnered with De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde (DLS-CSB) to launch the “Innovation Garage,” a facility aimed at equipping students with essential digital skills.
This initiative is part of UnionBank’s UBPXcellerator Program, which aligns with the bank’s broader “Tech-Up Pilipinas” advocacy focused on future-proofing Filipino talent.
Located at The Atrium of the DLS-CSB campus, the Innovation Garage provides a space where students can gain knowledge in emerging technologies, management, and design thinking. The facility is designed to prepare them for the increasingly digital job market. Classes will be conducted by experts from both UnionBank and DLS-CSB, with additional mentorship and placement opportunities offered to students.
“With the innate creativity of the Filipinos, we could be among the best in Southeast Asia if not the world,” said Edwin Bautista, president and CEO of UnionBank.
This partnership, which began in 2018, has already introduced several Xcellerator courses and an elective in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence to DLS-CSB students.
