UnionDigital Bank, the digital banking arm of Union Bank of the Philippines, has launched the Kaya Mo Movement to help unbanked Filipinos take part in the country’s financial system.
The campaign supports the 37.6 million Filipino adults who remain unbanked by offering easier access to digital banking. Kaya Mo focuses on communities like sari-sari storeowners (neighborhood stores), ride-sharing drivers, daily wage earners, and informal workers, these are the groups often left out of traditional banking services.
“We design technology around real people, helping every Filipino, regardless of income or background, access tools that empower them to take charge of their financial journey,” said Danilo “Bong” Mojica II, PhD, president and CEO of UnionDigital Bank.

- UD Time Deposit, which allows users to save long-term starting with just ₱1,000
- UD Loans, available through a microsite to select UnionBank payroll clients and pensioners, offering flexible repayment terms for everyday needs like healthcare
Soon, the bank will introduce more digital tools, including:
- UD Cash Loans, a new app-based loan product with no need for collateral or heavy paperwork
- A virtual Visa card, designed for secure online payments without a physical card
- Early wage access, which will let users withdraw part of their salary before payday
- Microinsurance options, aimed at helping users handle unexpected emergencies
UnionDigital uses alternative data to offer credit to people who do not have traditional financial records. This approach allows the bank to reach more people while managing risk responsibly.
