Digital payments company Xendit has integrated Philippine alternative payments provider Dragonpay Corp., giving local businesses access to a wider range of payment services and expanding Xendit’s presence in one of Southeast Asia’s fastest-growing digital economies.

The move formalizes a partnership that began in 2021, when Xendit made a strategic investment in Dragonpay. The combined business aims to help Philippine merchants accept more payment methods, simplify payment operations, and expand to customers across Southeast Asia.

Dragonpay’s 905 merchants can now tap into Xendit’s platform, which supports more than 100 payment methods, as well as payouts, cross-border payments, and financing services. The integration also gives merchants access to Xendit’s regional payments infrastructure spanning seven markets: Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, and Hong Kong.

For businesses, the integration means they can manage local and regional payments through a single platform while offering customers more ways to pay, including bank transfers, e-wallets, and other digital payment options.

“Bringing Dragonpay into Xendit gives Filipino businesses the best of both worlds: Dragonpay’s trusted local network and Xendit’s regional infrastructure, technology and growing cross-border capabilities,” said Moses Lo, co-founder and chief executive officer of Xendit. “Our focus is to help Philippine merchants unlock more opportunities, serve more customers and scale beyond borders.”

Dragonpay currently works with 44 payment partners, including banks, non-bank financial institutions, e-wallets, and over-the-counter payment providers.

The integration comes as digital payments continue to grow in the Philippines, supported by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas’ efforts to encourage cashless transactions. Dragonpay has long been one of the country’s pioneers in alternative digital payments, allowing millions of Filipinos, including those without bank accounts or credit cards, to pay online through online banking, e-wallets, convenience stores, remittance centers, and other over-the-counter channels.

“As part of Xendit, our merchants and partners can expect the same trusted local service, now supported by a stronger technology platform, broader regional capabilities, continued product innovation and robust security,” said Robertson Chiang, founder of Dragonpay. “This is the natural next step in a partnership that has worked from day one.”

The integration follows Xendit’s regional expansion in recent years, including its full acquisition of Malaysia’s Payex in 2025 and its entry into Thailand in 2024, as the company continues building a unified payments network across Southeast Asia.
