Acer retained its position as the top brand for consumer and gaming notebooks in the Philippines in 2024, capturing 35.7% of the total market share, according to data from market research firm GfK. Acer achieved a 34.2% market share in the consumer notebook category and a 40.6% market share in the gaming notebook category. This means one in every three laptops in the Philippines is an Acer.

Acer attributed its success to offering good value, having extensive sales coverage, and running strategic marketing campaigns. Acer also tapped into the influence of its brand ambassadors, including SB19 and G22, to connect with younger consumers.

Acer strengthened its position in the gaming segment through its Predator Gaming brand, which has focused on building the esports community. The company supports events like the Asia Pacific Predator League to engage gaming enthusiasts.

“These initiatives have built stronger brand equity, resulting in customers recognizing and trusting Acer and its products. For 2025 and beyond, our consumers can only expect the best of what we can offer,” said Sue Ong-Lim, managing director, Acer Philippines.

Acer’s strong presence across the country also contributed to its market leadership, making its products more accessible to consumers nationwide.
