GCash, through GCrypto, teamed up with Filipino American rapper Apl.de.Ap and Manila-based artist Bitto to launch the Agents of Peace and Love: Apl.de.Ap x Bitto Phygital Art Collection.
GCash hopes to amplify local talents globally and provide Filipino creatives access to premium art collaborations. The launch event at Apotheka Makati featured Apl.de.Ap’s NFT music and Bitto’s Bittoverse artworks.
According to GCash, the Philippines witnessed the emergence of phygital art, which enabled the blending of traditional forms with interactive digital elements. The creative economy surged to P1.6 trillion in 2022, reflecting a 12% YoY increase. Phygitall art marks a new era of storytelling, inviting audiences to actively immerse in narratives.

Music and visual arts
At the launch, a collaboration with Likha and Vinyl on Vinyl presented a unique canvas painting by Bitto, accompanied by unreleased music by Apl.de.Ap, benefiting the Apl.de.Ap Foundation. Limited edition sculptures with embedded music and signed event-exclusive art prints were also auctioned.
The winning bidder, content creator Jax Reyes, expressed excitement about the rare collaboration and emphasized supporting the cause, as a portion of the proceeds nurtures youth education and creativity.
A digital scavenger hunt added some fun, with three winners taking home limited edition Apl.de.Ap x Bitto merchandise. Guests interacted with phygital art by scanning it with their phones.

The event showcased Apl.de.Ap’s performance of Black Eyed Peas hits and his new song ‘Never.’ The Agents of Peace and Love collection explores the intersection of technology and creativity, featuring blockchain technology for a digital certificate of authentication, providing peace of mind for artists and buyers.
Apl.de.Ap, a Filipino Grammy winner, actively champions the Filipino creative industry through Web3 initiatives. Bitto, a Manila-based artist, draws inspiration from diverse sources and has collaborated with global brands before partnering with Apl.de.Ap.
GCash aims to democratize art ownership by making NFTs and phygital art accessible to Filipinos. The launch builds on GCash’s 2023 initiative, introducing the GCrypto NFT Hub featuring artworks by renowned local artists, thus fostering innovation and financial progress.
