Apple has announced significant updates to its AirPods lineup, offering fresh designs and features across its models. The AirPods 4 introduces a new design with enhanced fit and comfort, while the AirPods Max now comes in five new colors. The AirPods Pro 2 brings innovative hearing protection and assistance features.
The new AirPods 4 are available in two models: a standard version and one with Active Noise Cancellation (ANC). With an open-ear design, AirPods 4 provides a more comfortable fit, leveraging advanced modeling techniques to accommodate a wide range of ear shapes. Using tools like 3D photogrammetry and laser topography, Apple mapped millions of ear data points to create a more universal fit.

In addition to comfort, AirPods 4 also features improved sound quality, powered by a new acoustic architecture and H2 chip. The headphones offer Personalized Spatial Audio, dynamic head tracking, and a low-distortion driver for a more immersive experience. With Voice Isolation technology, call quality is clearer, and users can interact with Siri through subtle head movements. The new force sensor on the stem adds further control, allowing users to manage calls and media easily.

AirPods Max
AirPods Max now features five new colors — midnight, starlight, blue, purple, and orange — providing more variety for users. Along with the new colors, AirPods Max have been updated to support USB-C charging, making them more convenient for on-the-go use.
Later this fall, the AirPods Pro 2 will introduce a comprehensive hearing health experience, setting them apart from the rest of the lineup. With features like active Hearing Protection, a scientifically validated Hearing Test, and a clinical-grade Hearing Aid, AirPods Pro 2 aim to provide users with a complete suite of hearing solutions.
Apple’s new AirPods lineup combines improved comfort, better sound quality, and unique health-focused features.
