Aptos experts to discuss retail transformation, global trends at NRCE 2019

Aptos Inc., a retail technology solutions provider, is participating in the upcoming National Retail Conference and Expo (NRCE) on Aug. 15-16 at the SMX Convention Center.

NRCE is recognized as the longest-running and largest retail conference and exhibition in the Philippines, with the annual event designed to help local retailers attain global competitiveness. The theme for this year’s event is “Retail Reimagined,” which addresses the need for retailers to seek new strategies and technologies to remain relevant and meet consumer expectations in the ever-changing retail landscape.

Speaking directly to this topic, Aptos’ vice president of retail innovation, Nikki Baird, will take the NRCE main stage on Aug. 16 to deliver the session “Now. New. Next: Real Life Examples of Retailers’ Digital Strategies in Stores.”

In this presentation, Baird will explore the enduring role of the store in shoppers’ journeys, and what it takes for stores to adapt to consumers’ digital expectations and demands. Baird will offer retailers a global perspective on the state of store experiences right now, what’s new in how digital consumer expectations are reshaping stores and a glimpse into what’s next.

In addition to Baird’s presentation, Aptos will meet with retailers at booth #72/#85 to discuss how Aptos is supporting retailers to transform their businesses to meet the needs of the modern consumer — a consumer who is increasingly digital, always shopping and price-aware, and has heightened expectations for personalized service.

As one of the fastest-growing retail technology providers across Asia-Pacific, Aptos provides omnichannel and planning solutions that help retailers optimize their business processes and inventory productivity while creating an improved experience for the shopper. Retailers such as MCM Worldwide, Fast Fish and Golden ABC have recently announced their use of Aptos’ market-leading solutions.

“Working with over 1,000 retail brands across 65 countries, Aptos offers retailers an immediate competitive advantage,” said Zaki Hassan, regional vice president, Asia Pacific, Aptos. “We leverage global retailing insights to tailor solutions specific to the needs of the Philippines market, helping retailers be more efficient, increase productivity and be better prepared to meet the needs of savvy consumers.

“While e-commerce penetration is still relatively low in the Philippines at approximately two percent, we expect that percentage to increase rapidly in the coming decade as retailers enter a period of hyper-growth,” continued Hassan. “To prepare for this growth, retailers need to increasingly merge their brick-and-mortar and digital touchpoints, ensuring the most seamless experience for the consumer and the most productive and profitable use of inventory across their network. Aptos is committed to supporting retailers in their transformation journeys with our Singular Retail solutions, from planning products to point of sale and beyond.”
