The Financial Inclusion Steering Committee (FISC), led by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), has launched a website to make financial services more accessible to all Filipinos. The website was unveiled on Oct. 9, 2024, during an event at the BSP’s headquarters in Manila.
“This platform brings our efforts together and makes the National Strategy for Financial Inclusion (NSFI) accessible to a wider audience,” said Bangko Sentral Governor Eli Remolona Jr.
The new platform offers updates on regulations, financial initiatives, and news from FISC agencies. It also includes a testimonial section featuring real-life stories about how financial inclusion has positively impacted Filipinos and businesses, especially micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Secretary Ivan John Uy highlighted the DICT’s full support for the FISC’s goal of making financial inclusion a national priority. He noted the importance of collaboration to help all Filipinos access resources that can improve their financial stability.
The FISC, established in 2016, is responsible for overseeing the implementation of the NSFI. This interagency body aims to make financial services accessible to underserved communities across the country.
