Microsoft recently announced updates to Copilot, transforming the AI assistant into a more personalized, interactive, and intuitive part of daily life. With the introduction of voice and vision capabilities, Copilot is now more integrated than ever, offering a seamless, hands-free experience.
With its enhanced voice feature, users can ask Copilot questions as they would a friend, making it easier to get news updates, organize the day, or check the weather. Voice interaction includes four different voice options, providing a customizable experience.
“At Microsoft AI, we’re committed to building an AI companion that truly enhances people’s lives,” Mustafa Suleyman, CEO of Microsoft AI, said in a statement. “This marks a new era where technology is not just functional, but supportive and genuinely helpful.”
The updated interface introduces the Copilot Discover page, which tailors information and suggestions based on user preferences. This evolving page is designed to make interactions more personal. According to Microsoft, the update was shaped by user feedback and insights from the Pi team and Inflection AI partners.
Copilot Vision is another key feature, helping users navigate online tasks more efficiently by interpreting content. Whether shopping or conducting research, Copilot can assist with relevant information.
Additional features include Copilot Daily, which provides personalized audio briefings with news and weather, and the Think Deeper feature, which offers detailed, step-by-step insights for more complex tasks.
The updated Copilot is now available on iOS, Android, and the web, with voice features launching first in English in select regions and plans to expand soon.
