DITO Telecommunity ranked as the fastest mobile network in the Philippines, according to independent analytics firm Opensignal’s October 2024 Mobile Network Experience report. The company outperformed competitors in 14 categories, including overall and 5G speed.
The Opensignal report showed DITO leading in all four speed-related categories. The company recorded a 5G download speed of 287.2 Mbps, almost twice as fast as Smart’s 147.5 Mbps and significantly higher than Globe’s 95.2 Mbps. In overall download speed, DITO reached 34.6 Mbps, while Smart and Globe followed with 28.6 Mbps and 20.9 Mbps, respectively.
“Our Filipino users enjoy the fastest speeds on DITO’s network,” said Pierce Snyder, senior market research analyst at Opensignal.
DITO also received recognition for Video Experience, Games Experience, and Voice App Experience, which assess the quality of video streaming, online gaming, and over-the-top voice services.
Network quality
The report further highlighted DITO’s network availability and consistency. The company was named the Most Available Mobile Network, Most Consistent Network Quality, and Most Reliable Network in the Philippines.
“DITO accumulates the most awards in this report,” Snyder said. “Having launched commercial services in March 2021, DITO now dominates the mobile network experience landscape.”
