Epson Philippines Corp. is offering Document Capture Pro as a way for businesses to move paper invoices, contracts, and forms into digital systems with fewer manual steps.
The software works with compatible Epson DS series scanners and allows users to set up repeatable scanning jobs. Depending on the device, organizations can create up to 30 jobs with preset instructions for handling documents they process often. Its document capture and workflow features are available without buying separate software.

For businesses still handling large volumes of paper, those settings could reduce the time employees spend scanning, naming, sorting, and sending files. They could also help teams process similar documents the same way each time.
Document Capture Pro uses optical character recognition, or OCR, to identify text on scanned pages. This makes files searchable, so employees can find information without going through paper folders or opening each scan individually.
Depending on the device and operating system, the software supports formats including PDF, JPEG, TIFF, PNG, DOCX, XLSX, and PPTX. OCR can also turn printed material into editable Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files. A team could, for example, scan a printed report and update its tables in Excel instead of typing them again.
For bulk scanning, the software can split documents into separate files using markers such as blank pages, barcodes, recognized text, and form types. It can then send files to compatible cloud storage services, including Google Drive and Microsoft OneDrive.
