Epson, an electronics manufacturing company, has expanded its business scanner lineup with the launch of the WorkForce DS-530III, an A4 duplex sheet-fed color scanner designed to help companies digitize documents faster and handle larger daily workloads.
The new scanner is designed for businesses that continue to shift from paper-based processes to digital workflows. It delivers scan speeds of up to 40 pages per minute (80 images per minute) and supports a daily duty cycle of up to 6,500 pages, making it suitable for offices that regularly process large volumes of documents.

To reduce interruptions, the scanner includes paper protection and Double Feed Detection Skip (DFDS) technology, which helps prevent damaged documents and allows scanning of papers with staples, folds, or stickers. It also alerts users when the scanner glass needs cleaning to avoid unnecessary rescans.
The DS-530III also features one-pass duplex scanning, allowing both sides of a document to be scanned simultaneously. Automatic feeding mode lets users combine documents of different sizes into a single digital file, while ultrasonic sensors and length detection help identify overlapping pages and unusually long documents.
Businesses that need to scan books, receipts, or other thick materials can connect the scanner to the optional Epson Perfection V39II flatbed scanner through a flatbed dock.
The scanner comes with Epson Scan 2 and Document Capture Pro software at no additional cost. The software supports Optical Character Recognition (OCR) for searchable PDF files, image enhancement, barcode recognition, blank-page detection, password protection, and up to 30 customizable scan workflows to help automate repetitive office tasks.
