Garmin will release the fēnix 9 and fēnix 9 Pro multisport GPS smartwatches in the Philippines on Sept. 16, with prices starting at ₱62,690.
Customers may preorder the watches from Aug. 27 to Sept. 10 at Garmin Brand Stores, Garmin Specialty Stores, and Kinetic. The new fēnix series will also be sold through Garmin’s website and official e-commerce platforms.
The fēnix 9 comes in 43mm, 47mm, and 51mm sizes. It has an AMOLED display that is twice as bright as its predecessor, a scratch-resistant sapphire lens, leakproof buttons, and water resistance for dives up to 40 meters.
It also has 64GB of storage, allowing users to download twice as many maps as on the fēnix 8 and save up to 7,000 songs. Its updated map engine makes panning up to 30% faster.
The fēnix 9 Pro, priced from ₱72,690, is the first fēnix smartwatch with a titanium watch case. Its AMOLED display reaches up to 3,000 nits of brightness, making maps and workout data easier to read outdoors.
The 51mm Pro model has Garmin’s first 1.5-inch AMOLED display, which is 15% larger than the screen on the fēnix 8 without increasing the case size. Select Pro models also offer solar charging and an LED flashlight with a green light mode for maintaining night vision.
Both models introduce Garmin Epic, a Garmin Connect feature that combines activities recorded over several days, weeks, or months into one shareable story. Users can include health and performance data and photos.
New stamina zones and a stamina curve help athletes track changes in endurance and manage their pace during activities. Garmin also expanded support for indoor rowing and rucking workouts.
“fēnix 9 and fēnix 9 Pro are purpose-built for those who want to perform better and venture farther,” said Susan Lyman, Garmin vice president of consumer sales and marketing. “Athletes can better understand endurance gains and train smarter with advanced stamina metrics, while superior navigation tools help adventurers stay confidently on course. And with the new Garmin Epic feature, activities are turned into stories for users to relive.”
The fēnix 9 offers up to 29 days of battery life, while the fēnix 9 Pro lasts up to 31 days. Solar models can run for up to 57 days.
