Epson, known for professional printing, said the SureColor V4000, a compact A1+ UV flatbed printer designed to bring more printing work in-house, expands its SureColor V-Series for businesses that need customization, signage, and photo-quality applications while working with limited space and production requirements.
“As demand for customized, short-run printing continues to grow, businesses are looking for a solution that fits their unique scale, space, and investment priorities,” said Noelle Gonzalez, head of Marketing and Customer Service, Epson Philippines Corp.
The new printer is aimed at businesses responding to growing demand for on-demand merchandise and personalized signage across Southeast Asia Pacific. By allowing companies to print more products themselves, the SC-V4000 can reduce reliance on outside suppliers and cut the number of steps involved in producing customized items.
The SC-V4000 supports A1+ print sizes and media up to 20 centimeters thick. This allows businesses to print signage, display graphics, and rigid items such as phone cases and notebooks in-house.
For Philippine businesses, the compact design could be useful for print shops and other companies that want to take on larger and more varied jobs without requiring the floor space of a larger production printer.
The SC-V4000 follows the SC-V7000 as the next commercial production printer in Epson’s UV flatbed large-format lineup. Its print area is larger than typical A1 machines while retaining a space-efficient design.
The printer uses a 10-color UltraChrome UV ink set, including gray, red, white, and varnish. Epson said the setup produces a wider range of colors, smoother gradients, and less visible grain. White and varnish inks also allow businesses to add gloss, texture, visual depth, and layered effects to printed materials.
The SC-V4000 can print at speeds of up to 4.6 square meters per hour. Its A1+ flatbed area also allows multiple items or boards to be printed in one run, helping businesses handle more jobs without significantly increasing their footprint.
The printer is also designed to simplify day-to-day operation. Its front-access layout allows routine maintenance and consumable replacement with minimal disruption, while automatic media-height adjustment helps maintain the correct print-head position when working with different material thicknesses.
For businesses handling increasingly customized and shorter print runs, Epson said the SC-V4000 is designed to combine production capacity, image quality, and easier operation in a compact format.
