Epson is changing how businesses print documents by introducing its Heat-Free Technology to offices in the Philippines. This approach provides a more energy-efficient option compared to traditional laser printers.
Office printers have long used methods that require a lot of electricity. Epson’s printers work without heat, helping reduce power use and environmental impact while still delivering good print quality and speed.
“At Epson, we believe innovation should bring real value to businesses,” said Noelle Gonzalez, head of Marketing at Epson Philippines. “That’s why we’ve designed our business printers to help companies lower their operating costs, improve productivity, and reduce their carbon footprint, all while maintaining professional print quality.”
Instead of using heat like regular laser printers, Epson’s inkjet models use a Piezo element to push out ink. This heat-free process reduces energy use and helps cut down on carbon emissions.
This is important for the Philippines, where electricity costs are among the highest in Southeast Asia. Epson’s internal data shows that their printers can use up to 85% less energy and release up to 85% less CO₂ than laser printers. They also require up to 59% fewer replacement parts, which can help avoid frequent maintenance.
Epson printers do not need time to warm up, which means they can start printing right away and produce up to 100 pages per minute. They also use DURABrite pigment inks, which are water-resistant and work well in the country’s humid conditions.
“We’ve redefined the printing cost equation for Philippine businesses,” Gonzalez said. “Our customers don’t just notice the change in their carbon footprint, they see it in their monthly bills and day-to-day operations.”
