EY and Lalamove have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to develop drone-enabled logistics solutions to help businesses improve delivery operations and manage more complex supply chains.
The partnership focuses on the low-altitude economy (LAE), a growing sector that uses drones and other aerial technologies for commercial services. EY and Lalamove will combine drone delivery capabilities with existing ground-based logistics networks to create a more flexible delivery system for enterprise customers.
“For EY, this collaboration is not simply about participating in a new industry. It is about helping shape the next wave of economic transformation, where technology, infrastructure, regulation, and capital come together to create sustainable growth and long-term value,” says Jack Chan, chair of EY China and regional managing partner for Greater China.
Under the agreement, EY and Lalamove will work on logistics solutions designed to be scalable, reliable, and compliant with regulations. The companies will focus on helping businesses adopt new delivery models as supply chains become more demanding.
“Through our collaboration with EY, Lalamove is helping enterprises navigate increasingly complex supply chains. By integrating drone-enabled deliveries with our ground networks, we are creating a seamless, multi-dimensional instant logistics ecosystem. We are pioneering these low-altitude economy solutions in Hong Kong and aim to expand across international markets, opening new horizons for global business,” says Paul Loo, COO, Lalamove.
The companies said Hong Kong’s LAE ecosystem is still developing, but the partnership aims to support commercialization through three areas: connecting businesses and industry groups to identify practical drone logistics applications, creating governance and compliance frameworks, and helping companies build digital infrastructure using data and artificial intelligence (AI).
For enterprises, drone-enabled logistics could support faster deliveries, improve access to hard-to-reach locations, and provide additional options for industries that rely on time-sensitive shipments. The partnership also reflects growing investment in emerging logistics technologies across Asia.
