Garmin has launched the Approach Z30, a new laser range finder designed to enhance golfers’ accuracy on the course.
Garmin Approach Z30 features a 6x magnification lens, IPX7 waterproof rating, and the new Range Relay function, which transmits distance data to compatible Garmin smartwatches or the Garmin Golf app. It offers precise measurements up to 400 yards and vibrates upon locking onto the pin.
“You’ll never have to guess your distance to the pin as the Z30 provides quick and accurate measurements and displays them on your compatible smartwatch or smartphone,” said Dan Bartel, VP of Global Consumer Sales at Garmin. “It is also an excellent standalone device with its speed and accuracy, making it an exceptional addition for any golfer.”
With this launch, Garmin continues to expand its offerings, catering to golfers of all skill levels with innovative and precise tools designed to improve their game.
The Approach Z30 integrates with Garmin’s golf ecosystem. It pairs seamlessly with smartwatches like the Approach S70 and epix (Gen 2), offering golfers detailed course information, such as distance to the front and back of the green. The PlaysLike distance feature adjusts yardage for elevation and air density, helping players gauge shots more accurately.
Key features include a tournament mode, magnetic mount, and Find My Garmin function, which locates a misplaced device via the Garmin Golf app. Built for varied weather, the range finder is water-resistant and boasts a long battery life, lasting up to a year.
