Globe launches fully digital GFiber prepaid

Globe, a telecommunications company, has launched its first fully digital prepaid fiber broadband service, called Globe At Home GFiber Prepaid. This new product aims to make internet access more accessible and affordable to a wider market.

GFiber Prepaid offers flexible and high-speed connectivity at budget-friendly prices. It eliminates the need for long-term contracts and introduces pay-per-use promotions and a “Buy Now, Pay Later” option.

Customers can avail themselves of the GFiber Prepaid modem for an introductory price of P1,499. Installation takes as little as 24 hours, with seven days of free unlimited fiber-speed internet included. The service is entirely digital, allowing users to choose from a range of unlimited promotions through the GlobeOne app. The app also provides access to billing information, customer support, and account management.

To facilitate convenient payment options, Globe At Home has partnered with e-wallet GCash. Customers can use GCash’s “Buy Now, Pay Later” feature to pay in installments or access a credit line of up to P50,000.

Broadening internet connectivity

The launch of GFiber Prepaid is timely, considering the increasing importance of internet connectivity in the lives of millions of Filipinos. However, broadband penetration remains low, indicating a significant connectivity gap. GFiber Prepaid aims to address this gap by making fiber broadband more affordable and accessible to a broader population, similar to the success of prepaid mobile services.

Globe’s commitment to sustainability is reflected in the packaging of GFiber Prepaid, which is fully recyclable and upcyclable. The packaging can be repurposed into a laptop stand.
