Xiaomi and game developer Polyphony Digital have teamed up to bring the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra, the brand’s high-performance electric vehicle, to Gran Turismo 7 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. The partnership was revealed during the opening round of the 2025 Gran Turismo World Series.

The collaboration marks the first time a Xiaomi vehicle appears in the popular racing simulator, which is known for its realistic driving experience. The move highlights the growing presence of smart electric vehicles in both gaming and the global auto industry.

In May 2025, Gran Turismo creator Kazunori Yamauchi visited Beijing to test drive the SU7 Ultra and tour Xiaomi’s EV production facility.

“We are delighted to begin this partnership with Xiaomi,” said Yamauchi. “The Chinese automotive industry has progressed rapidly, and Xiaomi, a newly established player in the automotive sector, has already created an exceptional vehicle, Xiaomi SU7, as a pivotal part of its comprehensive smart ecosystem, which spans smartphones and wearables to home appliances.”

Innovative technology

“We deeply resonate with Mr. Yamauchi’s visionary philosophy of building a better society through technology,” said Lei Jun, group founder of Xiaomi. “This aligns perfectly with Xiaomi’s mission to let everyone in the world enjoy a better life through accessible and innovative technology.”

Lei added that Xiaomi was honored to be included in the game, which is known for its high standards and loyal following.

Gran Turismo 7 will introduce the SU7 Ultra with design and performance details co-developed with Xiaomi’s EV team. The in-game version will feature the car’s triple-motor system, aerodynamic design, and high-speed capabilities, to give players a taste of its real-world driving performance.

The SU7 Ultra, first launched in 2024, completes Xiaomi’s “Human x Car x Home” ecosystem. It includes Xiaomi’s in-house HyperEngine V8s, advanced handling features, and a luxury build tested at tracks such as Nürburgring.
