During its CCXP23 panel in São Paulo, Brazil, HBO released the official teaser for the second season of the HBO Original drama series “House of the Dragon.” Set to debut in 2024, the eight-episode second season will premiere on HBO and HBO GO.
Based on George R.R. Martin’s “Fire & Blood,” the series unfolds 200 years before the events of “Game of Thrones,” narrating the tale of House Targaryen.
Returning for the second season are cast members Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Emma D’Arcy, Eve Best, Steve Toussaint, Fabien Frankel, Ewan Mitchell, Tom Glynn-Carney, Sonoya Mizuno, and Rhys Ifans. Additional returning cast members include Harry Collett, Bethany Antonia, Phoebe Campbell, Phia Saban, Jefferson Hall, and Matthew Needham.

New additions to the second season’s cast include Clinton Liberty as Addam of Hull, Jamie Kenna as Ser Alfred Broome, Kieran Bew as Hugh, Tom Bennett as Ulf, Tom Taylor as Lord Cregan Stark, and Vincent Regan as Ser Rickard Thorne. Previously announced new cast members for season two include Abubakar Salim as Alyn of Hull, Gayle Rankin as Alys Rivers, Freddie Fox as Ser Gwayne Hightower, and Simon Russell Beale as Ser Simon Strong.
