Mobile device brand Honor has partnered with telecommunications company Globe to launch the Honor Magic V5, the brand’s latest foldable smartphone. The device is available through Globe Postpaid’s All-New GPlan PLUS 1799 with a monthly cashout of ₱2,813. Customers may get the device online or at Globe Stores.
“Honor Magic V5 represents the cutting edge of smartphone industrial design and innovation, including the world’s first mass-produced 6,100mAh silicon-carbon battery with 25% silicon content,” said Stephen Cheng, vice president of Honor Philippines. “Empowered by AI, the agentic YOYO assistant introduces new AI features to help users make the most of the large screens.”
The Honor Magic V5 is designed to be slim and lightweight, measuring 8.8mm thick and weighing 217 grams. It uses an AI-powered manufacturing process to improve durability and reduce the crease along the fold.
The phone also features IP58 and IP59 ratings for dust and water resistance. Its Carbon Fiber Reinforced Inner Display Panel and Anti-scratch NanoCrystal Shield are built to protect the device from daily wear. Inside, a carbon fiber layer helps absorb shock, while the Honor Super Steel Hinge is engineered for strength and smooth folding.
For productivity, the Magic V5 offers a 7.95-inch inner display for multitasking and a 6.43-inch outer screen for quick access to apps. The model also introduces the industry’s first 6,100mAh Honor Silicon-Carbon Battery, exclusive to the 1TB version. This high-density battery is supported by 66W wired and 50W wireless charging.

The Honor AI Falcon Camera System equips the device with a 64MP periscope telephoto lens, a 50MP wide camera, and a 50MP ultra-wide camera. Backed by AI image processing, the system is designed to deliver clear photos and videos across different scenarios.
The device runs on MagicOS 9.0.1 with Honor’s AI Agent, YOYO. The assistant can support daily tasks such as presentations, file sharing, transportation booking, and screen sharing.
Powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite 3nm chip, the smartphone supports a wide range of 5G bands, making it suitable for advanced connectivity and AI-powered performance.
