Jay Fajardo, a seasoned technopreneur behind successful ventures like Airborne Access and LaunchGarage, steps into the role of executive director for IdeaSpace and QBO, succeeding Katrina Chan. 

“I’m excited to have the opportunity to step in as a leader in the startup ecosystem, bringing with me new energy and goals,” Fajardo said. “I believe that 2024 will see the Philippines as a regional startup success story, being home to a talented workforce, a digital-savvy market, and a mature startup community.”

Rene “Butch” Meily, president of IdeaSpace and QBO, expresses confidence in Fajardo’s leadership, praising his contributions to the local startup ecosystem. Meanwhile, Chan, after nearly a decade of service, passes the torch to pursue new endeavors while continuing her support for Filipino startups.

In the past five years, IdeaSpace and QBO have invested over P300 million in resources, supporting 25 startups and incubating 250 more. Their efforts have earned numerous accolades and facilitated over 100 programs annually to nurture the growing community of Filipino startups.
