International Data Group (IDG), a market intelligence and data company, has appointed Andrew Hamel as chief technology officer. In this new position, Hamel will supervise IDG’s integrated product technology functions and teams, reporting directly to Genevieve Juillard, CEO of IDG.
As CTO, Hamel will guide the development and implementation of IDG’s technology roadmap across its IDC and Foundry businesses. This includes spearheading new tech-driven growth initiatives and investments, establishing an innovative research and development division, and harnessing emerging technologies such as AI and machine learning to accelerate IDG’s growth strategies.

Hamel brings extensive experience in global product development and engineering from leading technology firms. Most recently, he served as CTO of Booster, a company revolutionizing the mobile fuel delivery industry, where he digitalized the entire customer experience and led AI optimization efforts. He possesses deep insight into emerging technologies from previous executive positions at LivePerson and Amazon, where he led Search, Machine Learning, and Customer Experience Technology.
