ING Hubs Philippines is strengthening its efforts to equip professionals with the skills needed for an evolving digital economy. During the IBPAP C-Suite Forum, company leaders discussed the importance of talent development in maintaining the country’s competitiveness in the IT sector.

“ING Hubs Philippines is committed to advancing the careers of our talented professionals through a comprehensive array of programs and initiatives,” said Hazel Zaide Delos Santos, country manager of ING Hubs Philippines. “Our collaborations with universities and industry leaders enable us to share best practices and foster a culture of continuous improvement. By equipping the modern workforce with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive, we ensure our industry remains agile and resilient in the face of disruptions,” Delos Santos said.

One of the company’s key initiatives is the PEGA Residency Program, which focuses on low-code development. Since 2021, it has trained over 100 specialists, with a 95% retention rate. ING also runs a Graduate Trainee Program that helps fresh graduates transition into professional roles, providing them with technical and business skills.

“For the GT Program, we see that graduates are potentially our next generation of leaders and experts for ING,” said Anto Moreno-Valenzuela, human resources head at ING Hubs Philippines.

The company also runs the Process Expert Build Program, which focuses on improving operational efficiency. With nine batches trained since 2018, the program helps employees develop problem-solving and project-management skills.

ING Hubs Philippines continues to invest in workforce development, reinforcing the country’s position as a key player in the global IT sector.
