ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (STT GDC) Philippines, in partnership with Vertiv, Dell Technologies, and Novare Technologies Inc., has launched the country’s first liquid cooling technology showroom. The AI Synergy Lab, located at STT GDC Philippines’ headquarters in Makati City, highlights direct-to-chip cooling solutions designed to support artificial intelligence (AI) and high-performance computing (HPC) applications.

“At STT GDC Philippines, we’re not just prepared for the future — we’re actively shaping it,” said Carlo Malana, president and CEO of STT GDC Philippines. “This collaboration with Vertiv, Dell Technologies, and Novare to jointly bring a liquid cooling solution for AI workloads to the market demonstrates our readiness, not just for the future, but right now.”

The showroom features a Dell PowerEdge server designed for GPU-intensive applications. The server is cooled using Vertiv’s Liebert XDU100 coolant distribution unit (CDU), a solution that helps regulate heat while reducing energy consumption.

Liquid cooling is gaining traction as a viable alternative to traditional air-cooling methods, particularly for high-density servers. The technology leverages the superior thermal transfer properties of liquid to enhance cooling efficiency. In AI-focused data centers, liquid cooling can remove up to 80% of the heat generated, while air cooling handles the remaining 20%.

“In today’s fast-evolving world of data centers and computing, effective and efficient management of heat loads is more critical than ever,” said Hitesh Prajapati, VP of Southeast Asia at Vertiv. “We congratulate our partners in this initiative to educate customers on the advantages of liquid cooling technology for the Philippine market.”

The AI Synergy Lab provides visitors with a firsthand look at how liquid cooling works, allowing businesses to explore the technology’s potential before investing.
