iQor Philippines, a provider of customer engagement and BPO solutions, donated 413 refurbished computers to 53 schools in Angeles City, Pampanga. This initiative, titled “Empowering Communities Through Education,” aims to enhance digital literacy and learning among students at various educational levels.
The computers were handed over to the Department of Education (DepEd), with units allocated to elementary, junior, and senior high schools. The donation supports iQor’s sustainability strategy, which focuses on community and environmental impact.
“Our business is as strong as our community,” said Rod Hoddinott, country lead, iQor Philippines.
He emphasized the company’s commitment to supporting the Angeles community and reducing electronic waste.
iQor partnered with Rapid Technologies Inc. (Rapid Tech) to refurbish the computers, install necessary software, and provide accessories like keyboards and mice. Rapid Tech’s expertise ensured the units met the learning needs of the students.

The formal handover occurred through the signing of a Deed of Donation, with iQor represented by Hoddinott and chief people officer Fleurette Navarro, and the City of Angeles represented by Vice Mayor Vicky Vega-Cabigting. Local government and DepEd officials facilitated the distribution of the computers to the schools.
“We aim to empower students with the tools they need to thrive,” Navarro said.
She highlighted the significance of the donation in unlocking educational opportunities for the youth.
