A fresh contender has entered the local advertising and marketing industry. Kabuki Creatives Philippines, a subsidiary of EF Co. Ltd. from Osaka, Japan, is set to bring a new “ad-ternative” approach to brand storytelling through the art of manga.

Recently, Tsuguto Yamada, president and CEO of EF Co. Ltd., formally introduced Kabuki Creatives Philippines to various brands, influencers, and media representatives at an event held at Edoya Restaurant in Makati. This marked the official debut of EF Co. Ltd.’s expansion into the Philippine market.

EF Co. Ltd., known for its innovative digital advertising and marketing strategies in Japan, specializes in website development, brand advertising, and corporate video production. Its latest venture, Kabuki Creatives Philippines, aims to leverage manga — a popular and culturally significant form of storytelling in both Japan and the Philippines — as a powerful advertising tool.

Manga, referred to locally as komiks, has a rich history in Filipino culture, with beloved characters and stories from strips and publications. Despite this familiarity, Kabuki Creatives brings a fresh perspective by using manga to translate and tell diverse brand narratives. This approach taps into the visual and emotive strengths of manga to create compelling marketing campaigns.

As competition intensifies in the advertising industry, Kabuki Creatives Philippines seeks to carve out a niche by blending the Filipino storytelling tradition with authentic Japanese manga artistry. The company is keen on collaborating with both local brands and advertising agencies, aiming to offer innovative and creative marketing solutions.
