Lenovo Q24i-1LReviews

Lenovo Q24i-1L fits right in in a compact home workspace

When looking for monitors, the initial consideration would be the size: the bigger, the better. And that is true. Who doesn’t want maximum viewing experience not only for work but for leisure and games, as well? Enter Lenovo Q24i-1L, which somehow got everything covered even those features that users haven’t really thought about.

For a compact home office, the 24-inch screen (23.8 inches panel size) of the Lenovo Q24i-1L is just about right for a standard desk. The mount is perhaps one of the most notable features because it’s sturdy there is no need for a bigger stand. For minimalist users, it can be eye candy as it won’t clutter your desk but for those who have a lot going on in their workspace, it won’t also be a problem because you’ll have even more space.

Setting up was a breeze although initially, we thought it would take a while trying to figure out which parts go with which. We were just extra careful handling the items because we didn’t want to lose anything. Generally, though, it won’t take many brain cells to put it together. We used our HDMI cable to connect to the HDMI 1.4 port built at the back to complete the setup.

Lenovo Yoga Slim 9i (14-inch): Light and powerful
Review: Dell OptiPlex 7090 Ultra

The bezels (2.5 mm on the side and 2.5 / 20 mm on top/borrom) are almost edgeless but at the bottom is where you will find most of the controls. I like that even if you tilt it, you don’t really worry so much about breaking something. And its tilting capability (-5 degrees / 22 degrees) is just about right for smaller spaces. It is also compatible with VESA so you can also mount it on the wall if you don’t want to use the desk for the monitor.

The controls are inconspicuously placed at the back (bottom-edge) of the monitor.

The 6.9 mm ultra-slim monitor head is paired coupled with a 3-side NearEdgeless screen giving it a clean and professional look. Another nifty albeit small thing that I like is the built-in cable holder. Who doesn’t like a cable holder and it’s not just to make your table look neat but also for safety reasons. Say goodbye to tangled wires and cables.

After an eight-hour work from home, turn Lenovo Q24i-1L into a powerhouse entertainment or gaming monitor. The three sides are NearEdgeless and offers a wide viewing angle of 178 degrees on both sides. Refresh rate is at 75 Hz so you are always in full game mode. It has a Natural Low Blue Light technology to ensure that even if you have been working long hours, you still have time to spare for games or leisure.

And as minimalism seems to be what the Lenovo Q24i-1L is all about, the in-built dual speakers will help you decide whether to ditch your other speakers.

The display is 1920 x 1080, pretty decent enough for basic work and entertainment viewing. The IPS panel offers vivid colors, sharp images, and good viewing angles.

Here are the things that worked for us:

  • Design (mini-curve was just about right)
  • Pretty sturdy mount
  • Nearly bezel-less panel
  • Size
  • Unobtrusive ports

Things could be better:

  • More tilting adjustments options
  • Colors are vivid but for doesn’t work as much with some games

For someone who likes it clean because of limited home office space, the Lenovo Q24i-1L is perfect. For people who don’t give so much fuss about the littlest details, this one’s a catch. But if you are looking for a heavy-duty monitor for graphics-heavy stuff, this can be worth considering but you may want to look around first.
