The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) Development League (MDL) Philippines has announced its first-ever regional qualifier event, set to take place across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. This initiative, in partnership with Mineski Global, aims to discover and nurture local talents from various regions to participate in the upcoming MDL Philippines Season 4.

“Since the MDL Philippines started, the tournament has served as a platform to unite gamers who share their love and passion for the game and inspire them to seize opportunities in the esports industry,” said Matthew Chan, operations manager of Moonton Games League.

Under the theme “Ang Unang Hakbang (The First Step),” the campaign seeks to help aspiring MLBB players nationwide enter the professional esports scene. The qualifiers will be held in major locations outside Metro Manila, providing competitive amateur tournaments.

“Returning to onsite events is a perfect opportunity for Mineski to leverage our influence in gaming and MLBB growth within nationwide communities,” said Ronald Robins, CEO of Mineski Global. “Our commitment to bringing esports to the grassroots level will not only discover new talents but also strengthen the esports ecosystem across the country.”

To participate in the qualifiers, individuals must be Philippine citizens aged 14 or older and must provide proper identification documents.

The top two teams from these regional qualifiers will advance to the MDL Philippines Season 4 regular season, which is scheduled to launch on Aug. 27, 2024. Further details about the MDL Philippines Season 4 will be announced soon.
