Meta rolls out AI assistant to more countries

Meta AI, powered by Meta Llama 3, continues its global expansion, offering users around the world smarter, faster, and more versatile (artificial intelligence) AI assistance. The AI assistant, initially launched at last year’s Connect event, is now available in more than a dozen countries outside the United States, including Australia, Canada, Ghana, Jamaica, and Singapore.

With Meta AI integrated into platforms like Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Messenger, users can access a range of features they can use for their daily activities. Whether planning a night out, organizing a weekend getaway, studying for exams, or even furnishing a new apartment, Meta AI offers personalized recommendations and assistance tailored to individual needs.

Meta AI extends its reach beyond social media platforms with the launch of meta.ai, a website where users can access the assistant for various tasks, from solving math problems to improving professional emails. The feature also allows users to save their conversations with Meta AI for future reference.

In addition to its integration into popular apps, Meta AI now offers seamless search integration across Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Messenger. Users can retrieve real-time information from the web without switching between applications, enhancing efficiency and convenience.

Meta AI introduces the Imagine feature, enabling users to generate images from text in real time. This beta feature, initially available on WhatsApp and the Meta AI web experience in the US, offers high-quality image generation with the ability to include text and prompts for further customization.

“We are making image generation faster, so you can create images from text in real-time using Meta AI’s Imagine feature,” the company said in a media advisory. “We are starting to roll this out today in beta on WhatsApp and the Meta AI web experience in the US. You willl see an image appear as you start typing — and it’ll change with every few letters typed, so you can watch as Meta AI brings your vision to life.”
