To provide travelers with a tool for exploring the Philippines, the Department of Tourism (DOT) and the Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) Philippines enhanced its Travel Philippines app by adding more features.
The Travel Philippines app provides travel information that can help travelers plan their trips across the country and manage digital travel documents. The tourism agencies collaborated with the DOT Regional directors to provide multimedia assets for respective regions and provinces.
This resulted in a list of accommodation options, tourism attractions, immersive experiences, and essential services. DOT said the Travel Philippines app will be updated regularly to provide travelers with the latest information.

“Travel Philippines opens up enormous opportunities for tourists to discover the Philippines as the app provides a comprehensive look at the vast expanse of tourism destinations and experiences our islands have to offer,” Tourism Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco said in a media release.

The app features Featured Destinations, must-visit Attractions, captivating Activities, and upcoming Events. Travelers can craft their personalized travel experiences while supporting key players in the travel industry, such as DOT-accredited tour operators and guides. With features like “What’s Near You” recommendations, tourists have access to exclusive deals and promos, and real-time chat support, you’re in control of your adventure.
The TPB is working with the regional offices to provide updated information on the provinces, cities, and municipalities. The board also ensures its collaboration with private tourism stakeholders so tourists can have direct contact with industry experts in curating their travels to and around the Philippines.
“This innovation promises to equalize opportunities for the whole tourism value chain, most especially our MSMEs, enabling global accessibility, income, and livelihood growth for all, and fostering a brighter future for tourism in the Philippines,” Frasco said.
