Technese Legaltech Inc., a legal technology company based in Makati, has introduced Intellegal (intellegal.ai), an AI-powered legal research and review assistant designed for Philippine legal professionals.

Intellegal combines case-law search, legal research, case comparison, document summaries, and contract review in one workflow, helping lawyers, law students, and legal teams reduce time spent on repetitive research tasks while keeping final decisions with legal professionals.

Intellegal is built around three key functions: faster legal research, verifiable legal citations, and AI support that works alongside lawyers instead of replacing them.

Its main tools include Case-Law Analytics, Law Explorer, Deep Synthesis, Case Contrast, Visual Digest, and Contract Review. These features are designed to help users find relevant Philippine cases, understand legal issues, compare decisions, summarize documents, and identify contract risks.

Case-Law Analytics combines case searches, legal references, and analysis in one workspace. Instead of switching between different sources, users can review related cases, laws, and legal materials through a connected system.

Deep Synthesis allows users to ask legal questions using everyday language and receive structured research reports based on Philippine legal materials, including court decisions and regulations. The platform provides citations that users can trace back to original sources to verify the information.

“In the Philippines, legal work demands both speed and precision. We want lawyers to ask questions in everyday language and, in a single workflow, see the relevant cases, the laws that govern those cases, and a clear analysis they can verify. The judgment still rests with the lawyer,” said Hazel Bascon, co-founder of Intellegal.

Beyond research, Intellegal also supports legal document review. Case Contrast helps users compare court decisions based on issues, facts, rulings, and reasoning. Visual Digest converts long legal documents into easier-to-understand summaries and visual structures.

Its Contract Review feature checks agreements clause by clause against relevant Philippine laws. The tool flags possible issues using four categories: Must Fix, Should Fix, Optional, and Missing. It can also create redlined documents with tracked changes and link findings to their legal basis.

Intellegal is available for law students, bar reviewees, solo practitioners, law firms, and corporate legal teams. The company said the platform can support legal research, case preparation, document review, and contract analysis.

The platform also includes data protection measures, with user information encrypted during transfer and storage. Technese Legaltech Inc. said search histories, uploaded documents, and personal information are not shared with third parties for commercial purposes.

As AI adoption grows in professional services, Technese Legaltech Inc. said Intellegal is focused on helping Philippine legal professionals work faster while maintaining accuracy, transparency, and control over legal decisions.
